Bidding: Please register for a bidding number prior to bidding and clearly state your number on a winning bid.
Purchasers should satisfy themselves by physical inspection of lots before bidding as to the origin authenticity quality age weight size and general description – as lots are sold in their actual state with all faults imperfections or errors of description. If physical inspection is not possible condition reports must be reviewed by purchasers in full before bids can be accepted. (please refer to full conditions of sale)
Commission Bids: Commission bids are accepted subject to prospective purchaser having viewed the items.
Payment: All payments must be paid for on the day of sale, unless special arrangement has been made with the Auctioneer. Payment by card, cheque or cash. For Money Laundering purposes, we are not allowed to take more than £7,500 (cash) from anyone without formal identification. (photo identity & bank cards will be required).

Live Bidding: This auction has the facility for live internet bidding via www.i-bidder.com which will be subject to an additional premium, please refer to their website for conditions.
No refunds: No refunds will be given after the sale due to the condition of the item
Electrical Items: All electrical and mechanical goods are sold on the strict understanding that these are untested, without warranty or any guarantee as to serviceability or working order. Electrical items are PAT tested for safety purposes only, you purchase at your own risk.
Health & Safety Please treat the site as a construction site and use all safety precautions you would normally adhere to. If children are on site, they must be under strict control of an adult at all times.
Value Added Tax All items will be subject to VAT
All the items, which are surplus stock, will be sold by auction. But please note the items as described will be on view at FNR Machinery Ltd premises Wellington House, Lynn Road, Wisbech, Cambridgeshire. PE14 7AP. The items will then be offered on 15th May 2018 @ 12 noon held at our Auction Rooms, 15 Lynn road, Downham Market, Norfolk PE38 9NL but, if you are unable to attend the sale at the Auction Rooms you can bid via www.i-bidder.com or www.bidonthis.co.uk
Please note that there will be no additional buyer’s premium if you attend in person, book a telephone bid or leave a commission bid but if you wish to bid via i-bidder.com there is an additional buyer’s premium please refer to their terms.
Delivery
All items purchased can be collected during normal business hours but please ensure on collection you have some form of ID or a receipt for the lot or lots.
If you require delivery to your home or business address this service can be arranged at cost by the vendors who are capable of delivering machinery throughout the UK and worldwide.
AGB
Care is taken to ensure that any statements as to authorship, attribution, origin, date, age, provenance and condition are reliable and accurate, but all such statements are statements of opinion and are not to be taken as statements or representations of fact. Barry L Hawkins reserve the right, in forming their opinion, to consult and rely upon any expert or authority reasonably considered by them to be reliable. All clients are advised they are entering into a contract with Barry L Hawkins Independent Auctioneers and Valuers under English Law and Jurisdiction.
1. The Buyer
The highest bidder to be the buyer. If any dispute arises, the auctioneer shall have absolute discretion to settle it and to put any disputed lot up again for sale.
2. Buyer Identification
Buyers are requested to register in advance of the sale in order to avoid delay in clearing purchases. Goods will not be cleared until full payments have been received or cheques cleared. Barry L Hawkins will not accept commission bids for any unregistered buyers.
3. Buyer’s Premium
The buyer shall pay the hammer price together with a buyer’s premium at the rate of 3.6% inclusive of VAT. (3% plus VAT). Internet bidding incurs an additional 5% plus VAT charge.
VAT is charged on Barry L Hawkins’ services NOT on the goods and is payable at the standard rate set by the UK government.
4. Payment
Immediately on the fall of the hammer, all lots shall be at the sole risk and expense of the respective purchasers.
All Bidders need to pay and arrange collection of smalls within 5 working days of the auction. Furniture buyers need to pay and collect within 3 working days of its sale day.
Failure to pay for goods within six weeks of the auction will result in the sale being rescinded. The defaulting buyer will also be blocked from bidding at future Barry L Hawkins auctions.
5. Methods of Payment
Cash, debit card, credit card or direct bank payment.
UK Debit cards incur no extra charge. All credit and international debit cards incur an additional 3% charge.
Personal cheques will only be accepted at the discretion of Barry L Hawkins and on the understanding that NO goods will be released until bank clearance of the cheque has completed.
6. Collection / Shipment of Goods
If you are successful in winning a lot, you have 5 working days after the auction sale to pay and collect your lots. However, if you live out of the area and require shipment or postage then our in-house packers Jentel Packing will be happy to provide you with a quote for your lots.

7. Loss or Damages
All buyers / couriers must check their purchases prior to departure from the auction. Barry L Hawkins will accept no claims for loss or damage thereafter.
8. Third Party Liability
Every person at Barry L Hawkins Auctions shall be deemed to be there at his own risk. They shall have no claim against Barry L Hawkins in respect to any accident which may occur or injury, damage or loss howsoever caused.
9. Rights of Admission
The right is reserved to refuse admission to the auction premises and may be used by Barry L Hawkins without giving a reason.
10. Selling Rate
Lots are sold at approximately 100 lots per hour
