This is a very Rare Fireblade with just 3029 Miles 1999 registered (last of the 3rd generation bikes )
This imported model unrestricted was a Blade at its most potent, accelerating like a scalded cat.
Effortless acceleration and precise handling, It weighs circa 180kg .
By the third generation, Honda had taken an excellent machine and refined it slightly each time:, they had made lots of subtle changes and made it even better".
Unlike some lightweight race replicas, it had a strong, reliable and tuneable engine. Most Fire Blades have all been near faultless and capable of clocking up 100,000 miles plus.
Although Honda R&D shaved components down to save weight, the engineers ensured it would not affect long term reliability.
Great finish and quality
Second-hand Fire blades are cheap to run and enjoy arguably the most influential superbike of all time:
Honda’s mighty 90’s Fire Blade, is one of the the last CBR900RR Fire Blade by Tadao Baba, it is the most exciting to ride and lighter than its successors.
Later Honda CBR1000RR Fireblades were faster but heavier and less involving.
Like any Fire Blade this one is incredibly fast, surprisingly reliable, amazingly comfortable and well built too.
This particular model was unrestricted. Offset on the triple clamp was reduced by 5 mm (0.2 in).
The discs on the front were larger with new calipers, and revised ergonomics raised the foot pegs.
It was a high-velocity precision instrument, relegating earlier bikes to sports tourers. This was exceedingly rapid, exciting to ride.
The Honda CBR900RR Fire Blade's small size and quality chassis makes this a motorcycle you could get on and ride hard from day one.
Cost new was just under £10,000 these Blades are now becoming extremely collectible.
