CONDITIONS OF SALE
The conduct of the auction in general will be under the auctioneer’s usual conditions of sale as exhibited in the pay office, that is to say, no warranties or guarantees upon the description or condition of any of the items is either given or implied other than a guarantee as to title, which will pass at the fall of the hammer.
METHOD OF SALE
Please note that this sale will be conducted as a live sale on site and there will also be live internet bidding, using BidSpotter. Those unable to attend the sale will need to register separately with BidSpotter to use this method of bidding in the sale. All purchasers are deemed to have viewed and satisfied themselves with the condition and description of all lots. The act of making a bid on the internet is a legal commitment to purchase the goods at the price bid if successful when the auction finishes. If you are unable to establish the condition or value of the goods to your satisfaction please do not bid.
Please note the sale is collection only and no items will be forwarded by post, courier or other means.
VALUE ADDED TAX
VAT will be added at the rate of 20% of the sale price of all lots.
BUYER’S PREMIUM
There will be a buyer’s premium of 5% plus VAT on all lots. There will be a further buyer’s premium of 3% plus VAT for all items purchased through the internet.
TERMS OF PAYMENT
On Site Buyers:- Intending purchasers who have no previous trading record with Hinson Parry & Company will be required to produce, prior to bidding, an acceptable banker’s reference and two forms of proof of identity, if they intend to pay by cheque. The auctioneers reserve the right to withhold purchases until cheques are cleared. Otherwise, cheques accompanied by a banker’s card, cash or debit cards will be accepted by the auctioneers on the day of sale.
Internet Bidding:- Those wishing to bid on the internet are requested to inspect the conditions for payment attached to that method.
The auctioneers retain the right not to release items until funds are cleared.
VIEWING
The premises will be open on Friday 27th September 2019 between the hours of 12.00 noon and 4.00 p.m. for viewing and on the morning of sale.
COLLECTION
The premises will be open until 6.00 p.m. on the day of sale for the collection of goods. It will be open between 2.00 p.m. and 4.00 p.m. on Sunday 1st October 2019 for the collection of larger items, otherwise collection will be by arrangement.
